Integration

Integration means connecting two separate systems so data moves between them automatically, for example linking a booking system to accounting or a point-of-sale system.

Also known as: System integration

Why integration saves time

Without integration, data gets moved by hand from one system to another, which takes time and introduces mistakes. Integration removes that manual step entirely.

What integration requires

Both systems need a technical way to hand data to each other (often called an API). Some off-the-shelf platforms support this well, some not at all.
