Brand identity and booking system for a tyre shop
Ratakumi is a tyre shop based in Vihti, Finland. Before the project the company had a logo and a phone number, but no website, no consistent visual identity and no digital way to manage bookings.
The situation
All bookings came through the phone and the calendar lived on paper and in the owner's memory.
Running the tyre hotel required separate bookkeeping of whose tyres were in storage and when they had been brought in or picked up, and keeping track of signed paper receipts was tedious. The business depended on the owner being available to answer the phone, and customers had no way to handle a booking when it suited them.
The approach
The client knew from the start that the main goal was a booking calendar: the customer picks a service, their car and a suitable time directly from the site, and the booking shows up in the owner's admin panel in real time. In the admin panel the owner sees the day, week and month in a calendar view, can add bookings manually for phone customers, and edit opening hours and services without having to get in touch with me.
As the project progressed, the tyre hotel problem came up: signed paper receipts were piling up and tracking them was difficult. I suggested the same system handle the tyre hotel as well, generating a PDF receipt for each storage entry that gets archived under the customer's profile automatically. Now the owner finds any customer's tyre details in seconds and paper folders aren't needed.
On the brand side the company already had a good logo, so a colour palette, typography and visual direction were built around it, working across the website and other materials. The database was designed so that the same customer can manage multiple cars, which keeps repeat bookings effortless.

What was left out
The tyre hotel wasn't part of the original plan. It was added only once it became clear that tracking paper receipts was the real problem, not because the system needed extra features.
The outcome
The system took in more than 50 bookings in the first two weeks of the season.
Bookings also come in during evenings and weekends when the phone isn't being answered. Those would previously have gone unanswered or been left on a callback list. The tyre hotel lives in the same system as the bookings, and paper receipts no longer go missing. The owner sees the booking situation at a glance and the customer handles the booking themselves without a phone call.
Google visibility
SEO fundamentals were built into the site from the start. The Google Search Console data shows what that has produced: the site ranks well specifically for local searches with clear purchase intent.
