An admin panel is the owner's own view for managing bookings, opening hours and other site content without needing to contact a developer.

What an admin panel typically handles
Viewing the day's, week's and month's bookings in a calendar view, adding bookings manually for phone customers, and editing services or opening hours yourself.
How it differs from an off-the-shelf platform
A custom admin panel is built around the process the business actually has, for example handling inventory or archiving in the same place as bookings. An off-the-shelf platform usually offers one general-purpose view for everyone.
