Core Web Vitals

Core Web Vitals is Google's set of metrics measuring a site's loading speed, visual stability and responsiveness. Google uses these numbers as one ranking factor in search results.

Also known as: Site speed metrics

What the metrics mean in practice

How fast the page's main content becomes visible, whether the layout stays still while loading (so you don't accidentally tap the wrong thing), and how quickly the page responds to clicks.

Why a heavy platform performs worse

Heavy content management systems and plugins slow a site down, which shows up directly as worse scores. A lightweight build usually starts from a better position here.
